There are lots of ways to help us continue and expand our work with adult learners. Here are just a few ideas!

Organize a "share the plate" or "share the mission" action at your place of worship on behalf of adult learners in your community. Our staff is always glad to attend services to discuss how donor generosity helps us to provide services to more individuals.

Consider making your support of adult literacy a part of your own personal legacy by designating Milwaukee Achiever as a beneficiary in your will. We are also very grateful for donations made in memory or in honor of others.

Organize a regular "Eat In" with friends, family and acquaintances. Donate the money saved from holding a friendly pot-luck dinner at home rather than eating out at a restaurant. A speaker from our organization will be more than glad to address your group in order to discuss our mission and work with individuals bettering their lives through continuing education.

Over the years, Milwaukee Achiever has been the fortunate recipient of many wonderful in-kind donations, such as furniture, technology (computers, software, printers, etc.), and other items that help us fulfill our mission. We gladly acknowledge all in-kind donations with a certificate of receipt.

Looking for a fun and unique sort of way to support our work with adult learners? How about a Blue Jean Friday Fundraiser? Simple to organize, big benefits. Just print the poster below and tell your co-workers you're collecting donations for Milwaukee Achiever: $5.00 for the privilege of wearing jeans to work on Friday. This helps raise awareness, too. Many of our clients don't have jobs, much less the choice of whether to wear jeans or not.
