Annual GED Graduation and Achievement Awards Ceremony

In 2002, our Executive Director, Peg Palmer, initiated Milwaukee Achiever's very own GED Graduation and Achievement Awards Ceremony, in which we honor the successes of our recent graduates and those learners who have been nominated to receive Founders Fund awards recognizing outstanding effort in a variety of areas. Each year, Milwaukee Achiever salutes more than 200 GED graduates from all of our learning sites throughout the city. This is truly a heart-warming event and our staff and volunteers take great joy in seeing our honorees glow with pride in their accomplishments and proudly walk the stage in front of family and friends. GED graduates find that many doors open for them: post-secondary education, increased job opportunities and a knowledge that the sky is the limit for their dreams.
