Call the Community Center location most convenient for you today! We'll set up a time that is convenient for you to drop by and register with us. At that time, we'll give you a tour of our facility, find out more about your interests and answer any questions you might have about the program and what volunteering with us entails. We can't do it without you - call today!

Each month, our dedicated Center Coordinators offer a comprehensive orientation to becoming a volunteer tutor. The orientation addresses our philosophies regarding learning and instruction, an introduction to lesson planning and the resources available in our centers, and many other useful aspects of the learner-tutor relationship. Plus, there's always great food! Check out our online calendar to see when our next orientation is scheduled!

As a new tutor at Milwaukee Achiever, you'll have the opportunity to observe a class session or two before you begin work with your learner or group. While every tutor has his/her own special approach to working with a learner, observation helps new tutors feel at ease with the process. And professional development for tutors doesn't stop here! We offer regular, topic-specific workshops and an annual Tutor In-Service in August!
