Who Are Milwaukee Achiever Learners?
Milwaukee Achiever learners come from diverse backgrounds, are of all ages, and are working towards a variety of academic and career goals. Over 800 learners come to our organization each year for assistance in earning a GED/HSED, to improve their reading or math skills in order to enter a prevocational program, to learn English, to become more fluent in the use of computers, or to participate in one of our other academic or vocational programs.
Milwaukee Achiever learners bring a variety of strengths to their learning paths. They come from over 65 countries around the world, including the United States. They come bringing their determination to succeed and a curiosity that feeds their passion for learning. Milwaukee Achiever learners work hard and reap the rewards of their efforts! They go on to new challenges such as career advancements or post-secondary education.
Milwaukee Achiever learners are resilient. Learning can be challenging and life is demanding. Many of our learners are undergoing career changes and need to improve their employment skills. Many are caring for families while pursuing their educational goals.
